Fifty Townships in N.J., N.Y., and Penn. Ready to Take Electronic Trash
Stop! Don’t throw your electronics in the trash! In recognition of the 11th annual America Recycles Day on November 15, 2007, SAMR (Supreme Asset Management and Recovery), an e-waste recycling and remarketing company, Lakewood, N.J., is sponsoring a week long drive to collect e-waste from the general population at 50 locations throughout the tri-state by working jointly with Panasonic, Secaucus; JVC, Wayne; and Sharp Electronics Corporation, Mahwah, to underwrite the collection and recycling costs.
Charlie McFadden, vice president of operations at SAMR, says, “During this recycling event, we will be collecting anything considered electronic waste or ‘E-waste’: computers, monitors, televisions, batteries of any kind, printers, keyboards, cell phones, and even wires.” |

A local e-waste drive will take place Saturday, November 17, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the FirstEnergy Park parking lot (Home of the BlueClaws), 2 Stadium Way, Lakewood. Call Sabrina Silvestre, a Regional Director of Asset Management and Recovery, at 732-987-8149 for further information or to make special arrangements for box trucks or tractor trailers.
Other drives to collect E-waste throughout the tri-state will take place at various times Thursday, November 15 through Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at each of 50 different townships, representing the 50 states. (See below for locations, and phone numbers for further information.)
