George Velez, Port Monmouth, N.J., has been hired as the lead graphics designer in the marketing and design department of SAMR (Supreme Asset Management & Recovery company) in Lakewood, N.J. In this position, Velez will design and maintain Web sites, and develop internal and external marketing materials, ad campaigns, and exhibit displays for SAMR and its sister companies.
Prior to joining SAMR, Velez was a production manager for Peck Publishing, Brick Town, where he oversaw, implemented and created marketing and advertising campaigns. Velez, a graduate of Middletown High School North, attended Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, and the DeVry Institute, North Brunswick, N.J. At DeVry he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa before leaving to become an intranet applications developer at Fort Monmouth.
